In My Homeland: The Jury Members Of Two Contests Reviewed The Work Of Young Animators And Photographers

Together with the big art review of the 21st International Painting and Graphics Contest "In My Homeland" on February 1-4, 2026, the jury of animation and photography contests were held. The jury boards consisted of professional photographers, cameramen, teachers, animators, directors and film critics from Belarus and Russia.

The main review of the 4th photography contest included 642 works from Belarus, Russia, Moldova, Slovakia, China and Canada. The works were evaluated on two topics – "Architectural heritage nearby – witnesses" and "In My Homeland". In the last one photo pictures were considered in 7 categories: landscape, portrait, still life in style, graphics, street photography, black and white photography, and color photography.

148 applications were submitted for the 11th International Animation and Filmstrip Contest - 146 cartoons and 2 filmstrips. 92 cartoons were included in the main competition. As the members of the jury noted, this year's contest was pleased with films that vividly reflected the life and inner world of a child. The works were "hooked" by plots, stylistic approaches, and visual solutions. However, as always, there were passing works at the contest – "educational pictures", "illustrated text".

All contests' results and the best works will be published on the official website of the In My Homeland project and in project section on the GCB website in April 2026.

A collection of cartoons will be published on  GCB Youtube-channel, on GCB page in VKontakte and in Video section of the GCB website.
